Antequera- February 2018

I remember, after a long cloudy nap
Waking to the bright colours of the unknown
Directly heading, with great excitement and joy
To the closest though still too far away beach
The warm uplifting feeling of the soft and
Smooth sand under our cold feet. Facing
The mighty ocean and all of a sudden, running
With uncontrollable laughter bursting out of each
Of our smiles and, finally, realising that
We had just arrived.

I remember singing in the streets at night with my host and giggling when we got an earworm
I remember dancing in silly ways until we were all breathless and sweaty but still full of energy
I remember falling asleep next to or on the members of my team in the park or on the plane
